Security Mutual Life Receives Outstanding Service Award
In presenting the award, Catholic Charities of Broome County Executive Director Lori Accardi thanked Security Mutual for “the constant care and support rendered to Catholic Charities and our entire community.” Ms. Accardi mentioned some of the many ways Security Mutual helps serve Greater Binghamton, from sponsoring the 2011 Southern Tier Flood Relief Concert and helping Catholic Charities of Broome County launch its first capital campaign, to presenting the annual All-Star Golf Tournament.
“Catholic Charities as well as the Urban League, CHOW and the Boys and Girls Club are the beneficiaries of the tournament, which is not only an event but also a coming together of our local community, again to create good. 2017 will be the 16th tournament, one which I am confident will be better than ever,” Accardi said.
Catholic Charites also presented Outstanding Service Awards to iHeart Radio, Wegmans Food Markets, Cruisin’ Buddies Car Club, Triple Cities Street Rods Car Club, and The Ladies of Charity. Catholic Charities of Broome County has been serving those in need in Broome County since 1937 and provides a wide range of services, including mental health services, residential services for people with developmental disabilities, family and adult care management, and youth, family and community outreach services.
